Roger Lee Magnuson

Roger Lee Magnuson, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 9, 2024. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Leslie Magnuson. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Irma Magnuson; his children, Scot Magnuson (Karolina), Troy Magnuson (Kelly Hayes), Terry Magnuson (Autumn), and Sam Mulcahey; his siblings Larry Magnuson (Nina), and Sam Davis; his grandchildren, Ryan Magnuson (Beth), Adam Magnuson (Stephanie), Kayla Magnuson, Taylor Magnuson, Austin Magnuson, Connor Hayes, Sierra Hayes, Antonia Magnuson, Tyler Magnuson, Tiffany McConico (Greg), Derek Thomas (Karla), Jesse Thomas (Aashley), Jordan Thomas, Amanda Thomas, and LaToya Thomas; and great grandchildren, Tatum Magnuson, Asher Magnuson, Kaiden Magnuson, Kinsley Magnuson, Jeweliana Thomas, Aniyah Thomas, Jesse Thomas Jr., Karter Holt, Ella RoseHolt , BenJamin Holt, Ja-brae Holt, Joyiah Thomas, Jordan Thomas, Josiah Thomas, Jaures Coleman, Miranda Thomas, Bently Ingram, Jeremiah Ingram, Jakayla Williams, and James Williams Jr. 

Roger was a graduate of Chadron State College and a proud member of the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, he obtained his pilot's license and later retired as a medical laboratory technician. He enjoyed spending his free time scuba diving, sky diving, flying planes, snow skiing, painting, photography and flying RC planes. 

Roger brought to life what dreams are made of. There was not a challenge he could not conquer. His heart was full of wonder for exploring new horizons with no fear of the unknown. He was extremely passionate about his dive buddies. They brought out the best in him, especially under water. He was a husband and a father like no other. His honor and integrity about who he was will reign forever in the hearts of those who loved him. Words can't express the loss of this exceptional husband, father, and friend. 

In lieu of flowers, please celebrate Roger's love of animals by donating to an animal shelter or adopting a homeless pet.
