Kristy Renae Salmon

November 18, 1993 — August 17, 2023

Vancleave

Kristy Renae Salmon, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away suddenly on August 17, 2023, in Ocean Springs, MS. Born on November 18, 1993, in Dothan, Alabama, Kristy brought joy and laughter to the lives of all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her infectious laugh, charismatic attitude, and warm smile that could light up any room.

Kristy's journey through life was one of compassion and selflessness. She had an uncanny ability to always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether it was a shoulder to lean on or a listening ear, Kristy's empathy knew no bounds. Her genuine kindness touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on their hearts.

Education played an essential role in Kristy's life. She attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School and Vancleave High School.

However, her proudest accomplishment was becoming a mother to her infant daughter Raelynn Renae Salmon, who preceded her on August 23, 2012. Motherhood brought immense joy and fulfillment to Kristy's life.

Kristy also had various interests and hobbies that showcased her creative spirit. She had a talent for artwork and found solace in literary reading and writing poems. Fashion and photography allowed her to express herself uniquely.

To say that Kristy was loved by her family would be an understatement. Her passing leaves an enormous void in their lives. Kristy is survived by her mother Rena (James Jerkins) Sumner and father Steven Paul Salmon. Her sisters and brothers Kendra (Brandon Harrison) Drieling, Kevin (Crystal) Weaver, Tony Salmon, Steven Salmon, Tommy Harvey, Shannon Jerkins and Megan Keeton;  her maternal grandmother Judy (Charles Harwell) Myers; her nieces and nephews Summer Weaver, Starla Klock, Cyrus Weaver, Dylan Tuggle, Ameia Ladnier, Joseph 'JoJo' Landry, Destiny Drieling, Sailor Keeton, and Silas Keeton. Kristy's grandparents preceded her; Rosemary Salmon, John Salmon, Ruby Elmore, and Harry Guilford, as well as a brother-in-law Michael Drieling.

In honor of Kristy's life, visitation will be held on August 25, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39532 - West Jackson County, funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM, with Fr Henry McInerney, from Our Lady of Fatima, officiating.  Interment Vancleave Holiness Cemetery, in Vancleave, MS.

Kristy Renae Salmon's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all those she touched during her time with us. Her legacy as a loving daughter, a devoted sister, a proud mother, and a true friend will forever be cherished. While our sorrow weighs heavy upon us, let us also celebrate the joy she brought into our lives by remembering her infectious laughter and warm smile.

May Kristy find eternal peace as she rests in the arms of God.
