Jerry Wayne Weems, late of Ocean Springs, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 6, 2023, in Lucedale, Mississippi. Born on December 15, 1940, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Charles E. Weems and Glenna Sherrell Weems, Jerry had a profound impact on the lives of those around him.

Jerry was a man of many accomplishments and roles throughout his life. Veteran of the US Army.  Successful career as the owner of Jerry Weems Accounting. Jerry's dedication to his work and his clients was unmatched.

Despite his professional success, Jerry's highest achievement was his relationship with God. He lived by the words of Psalm 91: "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." This verse held deep meaning for him and he shared it with others, believing that its truth could bring comfort and strength.

Jerry taught Sunday School classes, fervently prayed for the sick, and witnessed countless miracles through his faith. His commitment to serving others extended beyond church walls; he touched numerous lives with compassion and generosity.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Mary "Anita" (Carter) Weems, who brought joy to his life every day; their enduring love served as an inspiration to all who knew them; and his parents Charles E. and Glenna (Sherrell) Weems.

Jerry's memory will be cherished by his loving family his children: Stacey (John) Weems Jones, Gregory W. (Yolanda) Weems, Alicia Nicole (David) Williams, Joshua B. (Jessica) Weems and Hannah Elisabeth (Bryan) Weems; his grandchildren: Shawn S. Jones, Devon S. (Molly) Jones, Nathan D. (Morgan) Williams, Jesse E. Rosado, Elena M. Rosado, Austin N. Williams, Christopher L. Jones, Aislynn E. Patterson, Auguste R. Weems, Erinn M. Patterson; and a very special great-granddaughter, Madelyn Rose Williamson.

In addition to his immediate family, Jerry leaves behind his brother Charles E. 'Sonny' (Joan) Weems Jr., brothers Laddie (Barbara) Weems and Ronnie (Jeanell) Weems; and a sister Sonja Hoffman. His presence will be deeply missed by all of them.  As well as a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Jerry Wayne Weems was a man of unwavering faith, exemplary kindness, and steadfast love. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate his remarkable life and the lasting impact he had on all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may his memory inspire us to live with grace and compassion.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Northside Assembly of God Church, 14901 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi, from 11:00 AM until time of services at 12:00 Noon.  Entombment will follow at Southern Memorial Park In Biloxi.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Northside Assembly of God Church, 14901 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi or Victory Worship Center, 8616 Ocean Springs Road, Ocean Springs, will be appreciated.
