Janet Widlocher Adams - Passed away suddenly at her home in Perkinston, MS on Friday, August 25th, 2023. She was born on November 14th, 1955, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Otto Widlocher and Zilla (Shields) Widlocher.

Janet had a cheerful smile and a laugh like no other. She brought joy and warmth to the lives of everyone she encountered. Her caring nature led her to devote her life to taking care of others. Whether it was through raising her boys or tending to the elderly, Janet always put the needs of others before her own.

After graduating from Plum High School in Penn Hills, PA, Janet embraced her role as a homemaker and nurturer. She found immense fulfillment in creating a loving and comfortable home for her family. Janet's creativity extended beyond homemaking as she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and sewing for others. Her handcrafted creations were not only beautiful but also a testament to her genuine love and care for those around her.

Janet's proudest accomplishments were being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She found purpose in making things for others and always went above and beyond to help anyone in need. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generosity touched many lives.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years LeRoy Adams Jr., whom she shared many cherished memories with throughout their journey together. Janet's sons LeRoy Adams III, Russell (Laura) Adams, Keith (Jessica) Adams, Chance (Samantha) Adams will forever remember their mother's unwavering love and support.

Janet was not only a loving mother but also a cherished grandmother. Her grandchildren Hung Nguyen, Hoang (Dang) Nguyen, Duc Nguyen, Long Nguyen, Yen Nguyen, Hailey (Tristen) Rogers, Jenna Adams, McKenzie Adams, Katelyn Adams, Layken Adams, Lane Adams; great-grandchildren Xuyen Nguyen and Ellie Nguyen will always hold a special place in their hearts for their beloved grandmother. She showered them with affection and made each of them feel cherished and loved. She is also survived by a brother Donny Widlocher, several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who were touched by her kindness.

Janet is preceded in death by a granddaughter Willow Zilla Adams, her parents, brothers Otto Widlocher, Ralph Widlocher, her sister Karen Catullo and daughter-in-law Binh Phan.

Janet's life may have ended suddenly, but her legacy of love and compassion will live on forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a void that can never be filled but also a lifetime of memories that will bring comfort during this difficult time.

In Janet Widlocher Adams' compassionate nature and selfless actions, we find an inspiration to lead lives with love and generosity. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory forever be a blessing to all who knew her.

Janet was a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church in Vancleave, the Sewful Stitchers, Sue Bea's Play House and also enjoyed Bunco.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her best friend Margie Perry for always being there and Linda Peacock for the love and support.  

Lying in state at the Magnolia Baptist Church, 2400 Magnolia Baptist Church Road, Vancleave, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Brother Chase Elkins officiating.  Interment D'Iberville Memorial Park.
