Charlotte Joanne Cuevas

Charlotte was an active member of the Community of Christ Church in Gulfport, MS, and was deeply involved in her faith community. Her family was an essential part of her life, and she came from a large, close-knit family that brought her immense joy and comfort.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 49 years, Donald “Pete” Cuevas, as well as her parents, Charles and Charlotte Maxcy, and her siblings, Chuck Maxcy, Elizabeth Maxcy Burton, Betty Von Ewegen, John Maxcy, Mary Harris, Barbara Jones, and Judy Salazar. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Charlotte is survived by her four children: Sonya Stafford (Jerry) of Saucier, Charlotte Smith (Chip) of Ocean Springs, Emily Porter (Gabe) of Gulfport, and Donald “Petie” Cuevas (Desiree) of Saucier; grandchildren, Tyler Rindahl (Delray), Tabetha Rindahl, Cory Behrens (Shelby), Kaitlyn Brewer, Cassandra Porter, Zed Porter, Grace Porter, Chase Cuevas, and Brycen Cuevas; great-grandchildren, Admariah Rindahl, Lilley Rindahl, Ryan Fox, and Riley Behrens; and her siblings, Charles Maxcy (Sharon), Debra Wahr, Jerry Love (Cliff), and Beth Sheppard.

Services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home located at 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, MS. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm.
