Otis (Bud) Brogdon, 85, of Pass Christian, Ms. passed away on Wednesday April 14th 2021 at Ochsner's Medical Center Hancock in Bay Saint Louis, Ms. The funeral will be held April 19th 2021 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln DeLisle Rd. Pass Christian, Ms. 39571. Visitation will be at 9:00 am funeral at 10:00 am burial at Evergreen cemetery Gulfport Ms.
Bud was a high school graduate from Pass Christian high school. He joined the USAF in 1955, married his sweet heart Mary Beth Cuevas. Together they moved to Alaska, had a beautiful daughter named Dawn, then another beautiful blessing a son named Tim. They traveled to the Philippines, and all over the United States, even Hawaii. Bud served time in the Vietnam War and was away from home but always took great care of his family. He worked on radar systems and beyond. Bud retired in 1975 and move back home to Mississippi. Being back home meant he could be back close to his son and his grandkids Joey, John, and jenny who he loved and adored so much. He knew, but was still amazed at the adults they would grow into being and their success in life. He was so proud of each of them and would talk about them all the time. Also he could go visit his sisters, calling each other more, which they did often just to check up on each other, and defiantly go eat at the Golden Corral. Bud had three sister in laws who he thought of as his sisters or even his kids, he loved giving them heck when he could, also his brother in laws. Bud opened up his own TV repair shop in Gulfport, Ms. and it was a great success. Tim worked with him after high school then and college. Bud and Mary Beth decided they still wanted to travel so he took a job working on radar even in the country's Spain, Turkey and many more. He did that for a few years then started a job out at Stennis working as an Electronic Technician. Finally retiring he bought land, built a home, and starting enjoying being on his tractor and backhoe. Bud fixed many of our cars, trucks, and towed many of us home many times. He would repair any of our electronics. He'd bush hog our land, grade our dirt roads, and fix our wells and more. Several, several years ago our hill was known as survey hill. One day the Navy was surveying and stopped to get out of the rain at Charlie and Helens house, the man told Helen "You know this land is all wrong, the markers don't match." So here comes Bud to the rescue he made a huge map of all or our properties as BIG AS A BUS!!!! It would roll across the whole oval table at the law office for the family to see LOL!! Thanks also to Aunt Pauline for all she did. You know Aunt Pauline once said Bud was her go to person - he was every ones go to person. I can only hope and pray he knew how much we appreciated him and loved him. I hope we can be more like him, I hope we payed attention to all the things he tried to teach us.
Rest in peace in Heaven...
Love, all of us ............
