Waymon "Sonny" Smith

Waymon “Sonny” Smith, age 66 of Bay St. Louis, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

Sonny was born in Pontotoc, MS then later moved to Bay St. Louis where he was the owner of S & S Floor Services.  He loved watching NASCAR and watching his favorite teams, the New Orleans Saints and the Ole Miss Rebels football games.

Sonny was preceded in death by his mother, Nora Mae Stewart Smith; his father, Waymon A. Smith; and his sister Barbara Maples.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debbie Shubert Smith; his son, James W. Smith (Alexandria); his daughters, Dana Ware and Sunny Renae Smith; his sister, Mary Gates (Johnny); his brother-in-law, Fred Maples; and his grandchildren, Briar, Ivy and Willow Johnson, Lea Todd Ware and Daniel “D.J.” Melton.

The family would like to thank the nurses and techs on the 4th floor at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.  They would like to send a special thanks to Barbara and Shawn from the dialysis Clinic.

The visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 141 Hwy 90, Waveland beginning at 10:00am, until the funeral service at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Bayou LaCroix Cemetery.
