Tulla "TJ" Sherman

Tulla Jack “T.J.” Sherman, age 83, of Pascagoula, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Sherman; a son, Jack Sherman; his parents, Soloman Everett Sherman and Lula Sanderson Sherman; a brother, Soloman E. Sherman, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Fran Rawson and Geri Cruise.

He is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law, Frankie (Robin) Sherman; his grandchildren, Jessica (Reid) Whittington, Jeannie (Josiah) Ory, and Joshua (Ashley) Sherman; his great-grandchildren, Ann Grace Ory, Ellie Ory, Emery Ory, Asher Whittington, and Adler Whittington; a brother, Kenneth Sherman; and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Sherman was a native of Jones County, MS and was a longtime resident of Pascagoula.  He retired as an operator from International Paper Company after many years of dedicated service.  He served honorably in the United States Army during the early years of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and he was dedicated to serving God, his country, and his family.  He will greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be at 10 am on Saturday, August 28, 2021, in Machpelah Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his wife, Patsy, and son, Jack.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to a church/charity/organization of your choice.
