Terrell Burrows

February 7, 1928 — January 12, 2022

Gulfport

Terrell G. Burrows was born on February 7, 1928, to his parents, Alvin and Rita Burrows, in Carriere, Mississippi.

He graduated from Pearl River Central High School, and at age 18, he was drafted to join the Army, and was stationed at NS Pearl Harbor in Oahu, Hawaii, where he was then sent to fight in the Korean war.

He made his home in Gulfport, Mississippi; where he was employed at Mississippi Power. During that time he met and fell for Norma Jean Dickerson, who he married in 1955. In their 49 years of marriage the two enjoyed working together on different ventures which included; their salon Hairmasters, as well as building and landscaping houses along the coast.

Terrell was a dedicated parishioner of Hansborough Baptist Church in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was also a generous philanthropist, who donated to many organizations and causes.

When Terrell found time to relax, he enjoyed singing karaoke and ballroom dancing.

Later in life, Terrell set his eyes on longtime friend, Antonia Rednour. After a lengthy court-ship the two were married on May 31, 2017. Terrell was attracted to her caring spirit, how she laughed at his dry wit humor, love for animals, strong sense of faith and family. He loved her cooking whether it was sweets or Italian dishes. They often traveled to Dollywood in Tennessee; where they would enjoy musical shows and Craftmens Valley. They remained madly in love until his passing.

Terrell G. Burrows, 93 passed away peacefully surrounded by family, friends and his loyal dogs, at his Gulfport home on January 12, 2022.

Terrell was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Rita, his 1st wife Norma Jean, brothers Rawley and John, and sister Meddie. He is survived by second wife Antonia, daughters Lisa and Alisha, and son William III, nephews that were dear to his heart, Greg (Jeri), and Patrick (Janine), his beloved fury daughters (dogs) Lilly, Bella, and Lovey, a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
