Samuel Narciso Jasso, age 66 of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
He was a native of Deming, New Mexico and earned a bachelor's degree from Wayland Baptist University. Samuel served 20 years in the United States Air Force, where he worked in maintenance on the C-130. He also served in Vietnam and Operation Desert Shield/Storm. After retiring from the Air Force as a MSgt., he moved home to New Mexico and worked for the State of New Mexico Human Services Department for 6 years. Then
Samuel was hired by Lockheed Martin to work with the C-130 again providing field support. This took him to Georgia, Mississippi, Rhode Island, and Italy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad Avalos Jasso, Sr. and Amalia Rivera Jasso.
Samuel is survived by his wife of 38 years, Yoko Jasso; his children, Noriyuki Jasso, and Jennifer Jasso Hilton (Murrell Weldon "Russ" Hilton III); his siblings, Roger Jasso, Sr. (Connie), Trinidad Jasso, Jr. (Yvonne), and Millie J. Hernandez (Omar); and his grandchildren, Stella Hilton, Rowan Hilton, and Ruby Hilton.
He played racquetball in Italy and enjoyed working on cars, playing and listening to music, watching boxing, and watching movies.
Samuel will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
A procession will leave at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 18, 2021, from RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, to Biloxi National Cemetery for a Graveside Service at 11:00 AM. Following the burial, a funeral service will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport, at 12:00 PM, with a visitation/reception to follow until 3:00 PM.
