Samuel Crawley

August 4, 1983 — March 13, 2020

Samuel David Crawley, age 36, of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020.

Sammy proudly and honorably served his country in the U. S. Navy for 10 years. He began his service as an aviation ordinance man supporting combat missions in the middle east aboard the USS Enterprise.  Sammy also took part in humanitarian relief efforts aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln following the tsunami in Indonesia in 2004. Upon Cross-rating to become a construction mechanic in the U.S. Navy Seabees in 2008, he completed a tour of duty in Kuwait. In 2010, Sammy completed a combat tour of duty in Afghanistan where he was a vehicle commander completing over 200 missions in support of counter insurgency operations. Following discharge from the Navy he resided in Loveland, Colorado with his wife, Chrystal, their son, Marshal and his father, Ken.

“My Son’s watch has ended; we shall never see his like again.”

Fairwinds and following seas my love.

In 2009, Sammy made the life saving decision to donate bone marrow. Following a successful transplant, his recipient and her family created a foundation to help others in Puerto Rico diagnosed with blood cancers. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the foundation at:
