Robert Sours Jr

Robert “Bob” Heber Sours, Jr., age 85 a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 in Gulfport, MS.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Marian Kiser Sours, of Ocean Springs; his daughter Caroline Sours Alexander and her husband John of Chicago, IL; and one sister, Peggy Sours Tompkins, of Roanoke, VA.

Bob is a US Navy veteran, and was an electrical engineer.  He earned his degree in Blacksburg, VA. He worked for Newport News Shipbuilding in Virginia before moving to the coast to become a Supervisor of Shipbuilding at Ingalls in Pascagoula.  He was a Presbyterian; a devoted husband, father and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. There will be no services at this time.

The family would like to thank Terry and Mike Waters at the Personal Care Home, along with the caring nurses and staff at St. Joseph Hospice.
