Mrs. Patty Williams aged 84, of Biloxi passed away Wednesday morning, October 7, 2020 after a short illness.
She was born on December 17, 1935 to Zollie and Irma Pearce into a large, close-knit family as the youngest of five children.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel H. Williams; Two sisters, Theda Berry, Ellen Walker; One brother Ty Pearce.
She was a long-time member of First United Methodist of Gulfport, a good listener, and a strong believer in the power of prayer. She loved to do things for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she never missed a school event or athletic competition if it could be helped.
Patty was a lifelong educator teaching and counseling in several schools throughout the Gulf Coast over her 37 year career.
Patty is survived by one brother, Joe Pearce of Grandbury, TX. She also leaves two sons, Daniel “Ted” Williams (Lauren) Biloxi, MS and Noel “Doug” Williams (Kim) Mobile, AL. She had six grandchildren, Jordan Becnel (Kristin) of Bradenton FL, Jessica Becnel Schleigh (Lance) of Bradenton FL, Taylor Williams (TaylorLynn) of Gulfport MS, and Tanner Williams (Maria) of Thibodaux, LA., Adler Brogdon of Biloxi MS, and Knox Brogdon of Biloxi MS. Patty loved her five great-grandchildren, Cohen, Charlotte, Audrey Kate, Taylynn, and Tayden. She was deply loved by her many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday October 12, 2020, at Riemann Family Funeral Homes at 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS. Friends are invited to visitation at 9 a.m. until services begin. Internment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Garden in Gulfport. At this time of acute awareness of the Covid-19 virus, the family has asked that masks be worn at all times. Family and friends are invited back to Patty’s after the services for “Coffee with Granny.”
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
