Nellie Peterson

Nellie Virginia Peterson, age 96, of Bay Saint Louis, passed away on March 30, 2021 in Meridian.
Nellie had a green thumb and loved to grow flowers to share with people to make them smile.
Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Peterson; her father, John Jeff Smith; her mother, Vera Chandler Smith; her brother, Johnny Smith; and her sister, Christine Hendrix.
Nellie is survived by her children, Shirley Lecornu Fulton, and Samuel Leslie Vickers (Sherry); her four sisters, Rachel Lott, Betty Jean Ingram, Mary Williamson, and Sarah Alldread; her two brothers, Bobby Smith, and Kennith Smith; her granddaughter, Angela Ladner (Keith); her great grandchildren, Tyler Amacker (Erin), and MaCaleb Ladner; her great great grandchildren, Kaden Amacker, and Alivia Amacker.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021, at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou, 1000 Kapalama Dr, Diamondhead, MS.
