Mollie Theresa Bullock May, age 91, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, in Gulfport.

Mrs. May was born in Meridian, MS, on June 26, 1930, to Martin Thompson Bullock and Estelle Semmes Bullock. She attended Highland Park School through 2nd grade. She graduated from St. Aloysius Catholic School and attended Meridian Junior College.

She married Joe Carroll May of Mendenhall, MS on March 3, 1957, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Meridian. She grew up and lived in the “Complete” community until she married.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joe May; her parents, Martin, and Estelle Bullock; her siblings, Louise Bullock Pope Findley, Martin Bullock, Jr., Edward Bullock and Albert Bullock; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Leon, and Amy May; her infant daughter, Theresa Carroll May; her daughter-in-law, Leah May, and her son-in-law, Duane Hay.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, David Mason May (Donna Lynn May), Joseph Carlton May(Terri Stanovich May), Sabrina Anne May Hay and Charlotte Lynn May Moore (Barney Alfred “Scott” Moore); her grandchildren, Amber Lynn May Smith, Cory Allan Mason May(Sarah) and Anthony Scott Moore; her 5 bonus grandchildren, Duane Michael Hay, Erika Louise Cooper, Amber Hay Ellison, Joseph Duncan Hay and Jonathan Andrew Hay; her great-grandchildren, Callie McKenzie Smith & Connor Quitman Smith (their father, Justin Quitman Smith), Emilye Mae Decelle (and her mother, Chelcy Raborn) and Everly Claire May; her 1st cousin, Joe Damon Semmes of Meridian; her 9 nieces and nephews; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to join the May family for Visitation and Services on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12290 Depew Road, Gulfport, MS.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest at Saucier Cemetery.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, is serving the family.
