Merry Acuff

Merry Hayes Acuff passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the age of 98. She passed away at home in Long Beach. She was born in Alamance County, North Carolina on August 24, 1922.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Steiner Coble and Bert May McIntyre Coble; her daughter, MerryLew Dorian; and her sister and brother-in-law, Elsa and Roger Stephens.



She is survived by her daughter, Andi Acuff of Long Beach; her grandson, Nick Dorian of Portsmouth, Virginia; and her great-grandson, Ethan Dorian. She leaves behind her sister-in-law, Blanche Acuff Galigher of Memphis and her neices and nephews, Edith Pafford, Susan Armour, Mike DeNote, Jackie Acuff, Rocky Acuff and their families. She will be missed by all of us, including her extended family here and her dear friends in Virginia.



She was blessed to have two very special care givers, Janice Scarborough and Sissy Stephens. I will be forever grateful.



Due to Covid-19 Guidelines, services will be held at a later date in Virginia.
