Mrs. Mary Ann Cuevas passed away at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi, on July 23, 2020.

Mary Ann was born October 10, 1957, in Sacramento, CA, the daughter of the late George Bennet and Mabel Howe Knowlen, Sr. Mary Ann enjoyed singing, artwork, painting murals, flower gardening, and listening to music. She also was an avid and accomplished cook. Mary Ann was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She lived life to the fullest and was always the life of the party and thoroughly loved hosting get togethers with family and friends. One of the greatest enjoyments in Mary Ann’s life came from the days she spent with her family and friends. However, the greatest enjoyment in her life came from her six grandchildren. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Streling and her two brothers, Lyle and William Knowlen.

Mary Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Jackie Cuevas; one daughter, Sherry Tanner and her husband, Matthew; two sons, Anthony Cuevas and Derek Cuevas, Sr.; six grandchildren, Irelyn Cuevas, Damian Cuevas, Derek Cuevas, Jr., Madilyn Cuevas, Jayden Cazalot, and Jocelyn Cazalot; three sisters, Bernadette Nelson and her husband, Harold, Diana Knowlen, and Catherine Lounsbury and her husband, Robert; five brothers, George Knowlen, Jr. and his wife, Janice, Raymond Morford and his wife, Bonnie, Simon Knowlen, Daniel Knowlen and his wife, Becky, and Tim Knowlen; two sisters-in-law, Gladys “Janelle” Dangler and her husband George, and Loretta Helton and her husband, Robert; and one brother-in-law, Theofield Cuevas, Jr.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, August 2, 2020, from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, at Grace Chapel Church located at 16366 Landon Road in Gulfport and again Monday, August 3, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church with a celebration of Mary Ann’s life to follow at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Dale Schneidmiller officiating. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi.
