MSgt Connie Wilson, Jr., USAF Retired

MSgt Connie Young Wilson, Jr., USAF, Retired, age, 79 of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Keesler AFB Medical Center, Biloxi, MS.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Connie Young Wilson, Sr. & Annie Betty Horton Wilson; his siblings, Betty Ann Wilson Henderson and Floyd Young Wilson, Sr.; and his wife of 53 years, Shirley Rumelle Freeman Wilson.

He is survived by his sons, David Wilson (Kelly Rene' Briscoe Wilson) of Biloxi, MS, & Mark Wilson, Sr. of Gulfport, MS; and his grandchildren, David Wilson II of Mobile, AL, Lindsey Wilson of Crossville, TN, & Mark Wilson, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ.

Born in Thomasville, Alabama, Mr. Wilson was a longtime resident of Biloxi, Mississippi. He graduated from Thomasville High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1985, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He also worked and retired as a Law Enforcement Police Officer.

While serving in the U.S. Air Force, his Duty Stations include:

Little Rock AFB, AR, Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada, Dyess AFB, TX, Keesler AFB, MS, Yokota AB, Japan, Wurtsmith AFB, MI and Izmir AB, Turkey.

His employment included working at the Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, and retired in Civil Service, (1986-2011), and was a Lieutenant, Department of the Navy Law Enforcement Police Officer

He enjoyed playing Wa Hoo with his grandchildren, Blackjack, and watching The Alabama Crimson Tide.

A Great Son, Husband, Father & Grandfather, He will be missed by all who knew him.  We Love You Pa!

Friends are invited to join the Wilson family for visitation and services on Saturday, January 15th at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with the Celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 p.m.

Mr. Wilson will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Biloxi National Cemetery on Monday, January 17th.
