Leo Charles Rodgers, 81 of Haines City, FL, passed away May 1, 2021 in Pass Christian, MS.

Leo was born in Philadelphia, PA and a resident of Poinciana, FL. He and his wife, Ann, lived in Central Florida for the last 35+ years.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary (Lobley) Rodgers and his brothers Joseph Rodgers and Thomas Rodgers.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna (Hoffmeister) Rodgers; five children: Donna (John) Schaffer, Heather (Robert) Neale, Michael Rodgers, Karen (Steven) Hollingsworth, and Stephen Rodgers; grandchildren: Sarah, Samantha, Amanda (Christopher), Christopher, Aiden, Cian and Brianna; great-grandchildren: Holden, Daniel "Hayes", Hunter, Jaden, John and Madison; siblings: Clare Marie, Bernadette Romano, Theresa A Misora, and Francis (Kathleen); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Leo was a graduate of La Salle University and Syracuse University. He served honorably in the US Navy. He had a distinguished career as an electrical engineer, analyst, manager, and was an early adopter of computing with Carrier Air Conditioning.

Leo was an avid photographer and admirer of the natural world. His interests included military history, tales of wartime valor, the Age of Sail, and man's travel into space.
Leo was a member of St Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, FL.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His gregarious personality will be missed by the many who knew him.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, at Oakridge Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 17, 2021, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City, FL, followed by an interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
