Juanita Stanford Redo, age 89, of Long Beach, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 in Gulfport.

Mrs. Redo was born on July 24, 1931 in Lineville, Alabama. She is the daughter of the late Earl and Mae Stanford, and the wife of the late John William Redo. Mrs. Redo was a resident of the MS Gulf Coast most of her life. She started a restaurant business with her husband in Waveland, known as Diary Freeze. After Hurricane Camille, they relocated to downtown Gulfport as Lil Bill’s Restaurant.

Mrs. Redo believed in hard work and continued to work at various jobs up until the age of 79. Afterwards, she enjoyed doing sewing for the needy at her church, North Long Beach Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and strawberry pies were one of her many specialties.

Mrs. Redo leaves behind two sons, William Earl Redo and Norman Lee Redo; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to North Long Beach Baptist Church.

There will be a graveside service held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 5th at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Out of respect for the current pandemic mandates, there will be a limit of 20 people at the cemetery.
