Joshua Cole “Josh” Ladner, age 37, of Diamondhead, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Ladner; his grandmother, Peggy Ann Ladner; and his brother, Brandon Rhode.
Josh is survived by his wife of 5 years, but together for 15 years, Deidre Ladner; his mother, Patches Rhode; his children, Alaya Ladner, Neveah Ladner, and Joshua Cole Ladner, Jr.; his stepmother, Sandra Ladner; his aunt, Betty Ladner; and numerous extended family members and friends.
After graduating high school in Lake Castle, LA, Josh joined the United States Air Force Reserves in 2004 and served as a Technical Sergeant (TSgt), Senior Communications Specialist. In 2011, he began his career as a firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with the Air National Guard Combat Readiness Training Center at Gulfport. In 2018, at the rank of Captain, while also working at the Harrison County Fire Rescue Department. While Josh was serving in the military, he received several awards including The Air Force Commendation Medal, The Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, 4 Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medals, and an Iraq Campaign Medal.
Josh enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, any thing to do with cars and trucks, riding motorcycles, video games, being on a boat, and spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, children and all who loved him.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with the visitation for family and friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
