Joseph Castrogiovanni

Joseph Angelo Castrogiovanni, age 89, passed away on October 3, 2020, in Gulfport, MS. He was born in Hammond, Louisiana in 1930 to Angelo and Myrtle Castrogiovanni and was baptized January 1931 according to the rite of the Roman Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Patsy and Toni; sons, Joey and Scottie; and grandson, Bobby.

He is survived by his daughter Helen and her husband Terry; grandchildren, T.J., J.C., Kirsti, Angel, Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, David, Justice, Erin, Lacey; other relatives, Brandon, Drew, Mandy, Norma, Joe; and numerous other family and friends that loved him.

Mr. Castrogiovanni served in the United States Army 1949 – 1953 as an inter speed radio operator and radio mechanic. In 1953 he was honorably discharged as Private 1st Class. He worked as a skilled tradesman in sheet metal work. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, watching football (loved football) and was an insatiable reader.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery, in accordance with state and local guidelines regarding social distancing, number limitations, and mask requirements for COVID-19 19.
