John Dean

John Wayne Dean “Jack”, born June 7,1928, passed away on September 05,2021, after a battle with cancer. He was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather.

Jack was a firefighter for the Gulfport Fire Department in the 1950s and later the business owner of Deans Auto Garage in Gulfport where he ran a successful business until he retired in 1990. He enjoyed every minute of a 30-year retirement doing anything he pleased.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Rogers Dean, Thomas Howard Dean “Tom”, William Forest Dean “Bill”, and James Harold Dean “Jim”; his sister, Lila June Taquino; his parents, William Forest Dean and Tevis Lillian Dean all of Gulfport MS.

Jack is survived by his sons, John Carlton Dean, Gulfport MS., and James Rogers Dean Biloxi Ms.; his daughter, Carol Lee Thornell of Montgomery Alabama; two grandchildren, Nicholas Austin Dean and Alexis Nicole Dean; two great-grandchildren, Brayden Lee Dean and Kinsley Louise Dean of Gulfport; his nephew, Freddy R. Dean; his niece, Cheryl McAdams; his great-niece, Tracey Dean Devine; and great-nephew, Ryan Dean all of Robertsdale Alabama.
