Jimmy Ray Grindstaff, age 64, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Pillars of Biloxi.
He is preceded in death by his father Paul W. Grindstaff and mother Eugenia “Nula” Grindstaff.
He is survived by his sister Kathy Mary Grindstaff of Gulfport.
Jimmy was a native of Athens, Greece and was a resident of Gulfport, MS. He completed 1-9th grade and attended Gulfport High School. He was a dependent of his father who was a WWII and Korean War veteran. He worked in Security and in food service. His hobbies included singing, playing various instruments and fishing.
Jimmy was a long-time member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Biloxi, MS and was very involved in many church activities until his health failed. He was a very kindhearted young man who loved children and pets. He also helped the homeless by bringing them food and clothing. He was very talented. He had a voice like Elvis, played numerous instruments, and could draw or paint almost anything!
Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., with funeral services starting at 12:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, MS. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
