Edward Willis, Jr.

Eddie Willis, Jr., age 64, was born on August 10, 1956 and passed peacefully on July 28, 2021 surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Barber Willis and father, Edward Griffin Willis, Sr.; and brother, Ernest Willis. He leaves behind his son, Eddie Willis, III (Jennifer), and two daughters Candice Lynn Jenkins (Nathaniel), and Maegan Ashley Willis; sister, Regina Blackstock (Jeff); brothers, Willie Willis (Amy) and Johnny Willis (Martha); life-long friend, Bud McQueen and his confidant, Gary Joiner; his grandkids, great-grands and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Eddie was a beloved member of the racing community, karaoke king, and founder of The Larry White Project. You could find him at a bar singing / hosting karaoke, at a race track, or with his head under the hood of a car. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His smile would light up the room, his laughter was infectious and he sang his way through life. He was "a simple man with love for laughter". He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Saturday, July 31st at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
