Darrel Washington, Jr.

Darrel Ike "Scooby" Washington, Jr. of Ocean Springs, Mississippi entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the young age of 47. Darrel was born September 15, 1973 to the Late Doris Washington, and Darrel Ike Washington, Sr. in Montgomery, Al.
Darrel was raised in Biloxi Public School District, which is where he met and fell in love with his soulmate, Renee Redmond, whom he married 8 years later.
To this union was born Devin Washington and Destiny Washington. Darrel also leaves to cherish his memories his two sons, Demarcus West and Eric Profit; his granddaughter, De’Aira West; his sister Dionne (Otis) Sullivan; his niece Daszia; two nephews Demetrius and Dominic; his Step mother, Shawonne; two step sisters Keedy and Ashley; two step brothers Sean and Wilbert;his great-niece Melodi Sullivan ;his grandfather, Melvin McQueen, Sr.; his mother in law, Linda Broussard; his father in law Gerald Redmond; his sister in law Jenine Landford; his great great aunts Iona and Edwina Scipio; his uncles, James (Viola) Washington, Kirk Washington, Gerald Washington and Melvin (Lisa) McQueen, Jr; his Aunts, Glenda (Derek) Cowart, Zandra (Valerie) Washington-Smith, Geraldine (Horace) Smith , Connie McQueen, Carolyn (Stanley) Patterson, and Melinda (Richard) Beck.
Darrel is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ike (Hazel) Clark; grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. James (June) Washington, Sr; Willie Pearl McQueen, his uncle, Eric Washington; aunt, Jewel Clark and his step father in law, Frankie Broussard. . Darrel was employed by Crescent School of Gaming and Bartending, as an Admissions Director. Darrel enjoyed his time coaching football for St Martin Youth Association, but most of all being with his family. He will be truly missed by those who knew and love him.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME,13872 Lemoyne Blvd., at Washington Ave. in West Jackson County.
