The angels came for Catherine on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, surrounded by her loving family. Catherine died peacefully after a long illness. She was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church since moving to Gulfport in 1963. She attended MGCCC – Jefferson Davis Campus nursing program in 1967 and received her LPN license in 1968. She was a very dedicated nurse at Memorial Hospital from 1970 until her retirement in 1987. Catherine had a reputation for going out of her way to make sure that all of her patients had the best possible care. Catherine was a very caring and loving wife and mother. She was all about giving to and sacrificing for her family. Catherine always made sure that everyone had something to eat whenever her family visited. She was known for her seafood gumbo, loaded with shrimp and crab. Her kindness and generosity will be greatly missed.
