Betty Young

Betty Jo Young, age 82, of Long Beach, passed away on May 9, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ester Blackwell; her father, Blacky Blackwell; and 2 sisters, Kay Swanner and Linda Lenay.

She is survived by her daughter, Angie Thompson (Bob); 3 sisters, Shirley Fitzgerald, Sandra Hunt (Larry), and Wanda Ladner (Davy); 4 grandchildren, Selina Glenn, Chris Thompson (Kristina), Brandon Thompson (Jasmine), and Caleb Thompson (Erika); 5 great-grandchildren, Jojo Renot, Madison Herrington, Ariel Web, Sammie Thompson, and Sawyer Thompson; 6great-great-grandchildren, Eric Herrington, Hazel Herrington, Daxten Renot, Ryver Renot, Zayden Webb, and Colton Seymour.

Mrs. Young was a member of the Church of Christ and she enjoyed life!

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10 - 11 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS .  The memorial service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
