Ann Larkin

June 16, 1943 — May 14, 2020

Gulfport

Mom, Ann, “Granny Annie” Larkin, long time Biloxi resident, and dearly loved friend, passed away on Thursday, May 14th 2020 at the age of 76.

Resting peacefully, surrounded by loving family members, and hand-in-hand with her adored daughter-in-law, she passed gently, blessed with the Holy Spirit.

Ann was born in 1943, the eldest of three children reared by Raoul Guerard and Grace Vachon. She, along with her younger brother Art (Judy, Steven, Tommy), and vibrant younger sister Elaine, grew up in the heart of Hartford, CT. She married James Larkin of Waterville, IA in 1966 and supported his career in the United States Air Force, retiring on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Foremost, Ann lived her life as a devout Catholic and faithful member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Biloxi where she enjoyed nearly five decades of worship. She cherished the congregation and found happiness through giving. She was a staunch advocate for St. Vincent De Paul where she volunteered for many years in her retirement.

Ann is survived by her son James, his beautiful wife Stacey, son Joey, and lovely daughter Marissa whom she affectionately called “Roo”. She treasured every moment spent with her family and after the birth of her Granddaughter, found renewed purpose and an unparalleled enthusiasm for life. She embraced her in-laws Joe and Deena Fore and truly appreciated their compassion and friendship.

Granny was incredibly well-liked in the community where she cultivated many life-long relationships. Always intentionally welcoming, she lived her life with zeal and a distinct, unequivocal straightforward approach; her candidness will be missed by many. For you, her dear friends, she trusted that you know how much she valued your unconditional friendships; her energy and vibrancy lives on through your memories.

Ann would want each of us to celebrate her life and rejoice in her ascension to heaven knowing that she is at peace and surrounded by the light of our savior, Jesus Christ.
