Wilma Russell Smith, age 83, of Gulfport, passed away on January 31, 2014 in Gulfport.
She is survived by her son, David Russell (Alene) of Wiggins; her stepsons, John Smith, III (Brenda) of Yulee. FL and Robert Smith (Dawn) of GA; a sister, Myra Richardson (Willie); her grandchildren, Jennifer Dudley (Duane), Lori Russell, Brian Russell (Stephanie), Nichole Kelly (Jay), and Sarah Groves; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Colton, Jenny-Kate, Huntor, Kaden, and Giavanna.
She was a school teacher for 47 years and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and playing cards with her friends. Visits to Coast casinos were a favorite pastime.
Her family requests memorial donations be made to Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, 13207 Orleans, Houston, TX 77015.
A celebration of her life will be held at Holy Trinity United Methodist Church, Houston, TX at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 5, 2014.
