Wilma Edith (Becksworth) Chandler, age 87, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Singing River Hospital in Ocean Springs.
Wilma was born in Andalusia, Alabama, graduated from Straughn High School, and received her Registered Nursing degree from Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
She was a long-term member of the Triangle Chapel, Keesler A. F. B., and most recently attended Mosaic Church in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Chandler is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Warner H. Chandler, a Senior Master Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force., and by her brother, Mixon Sanders.
She is survived by son Warner Jr., and his wife, Mary Ann (Smith), and by son, Greg and his wife, Lori (Pentecost), along with six grandchildren, and seven great- grandchildren, other relatives and numerous friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:15 procession from Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd, in West Jackson County, to the Graveside service being held at Biloxi National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., at which time Mrs. Wilma will be laid to rest with her late husband Warner.
