Wilma Ruth Sargent Brewer, 95, of Gulfport, Ms., died peacefully at home on April 22, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born in Elkhart, Kansas on September 25, 1930 to Jesse Baker and Claude Sargent and passed on April 22, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was the oldest of 16 children.

Ruth is preceded in death by her daughter Linda Castro. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Michael Brewer. She is also survived by her children Eddie Brewer Sr. (wife Jennie Brewer), Gina White (husband Tommy White), Bill Brewer (wife Susan Brewer), Michele Gammel (husband Paul Gammel), and Michael Brewer Jr. (wife Cindy Brewer), 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on May 2, 11:00am, at O’Neal Road Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the O’Neal Rd. Church of Christ.
