Willie Johnny Owens, Jr., age 33, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 after a short battle with cancer.
Willie was a 2002 graduate of Hancock High School and a resident of Diamondhead, MS. He had been employed by Leidos for the past nine years as an electrical technician.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Terry Anglada; and paternal grandparents, Percy and Gratjana Keith.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kelsey Carter Owens; parents, Willie J. Owens, Sr. and Terry Ann Owens; grandmother, Beverly Anglada; sisters, Rachele Walley (Denny), Tara Bourgeois (Chris), Colleen Stiles (Jay); brothers, Brent Coulon (Ashley), Cody Owens; Godmother, Gina Miller; Goddaughter, Bryn Bourgeois; four nieces, Kali Walley, Natalie Stiles, Lillian Coulon, Vivian Coulon ; five nephews, Brody Walley, Colby Walley, Christopher Bourgeois, Jackson Coulon, and Isaac Owens; and many other relatives and friends.
Willie was a gift to all that knew him and lived life to its fullest. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He also had a liking for fancy whiskey and brewing his own beer. Willie was very much loved and will be missed by all.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 9 AM - 1 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd. Long Beach, MS. A funeral service will be at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
