William Oliver "Billy" Simms

William ""Billy"" Oliver Simms, Jr., age 72, passed away on October 13, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Billy retired after 38 years of service with International Paper Company where he was a member of the Quarter Century Society. He was also of the Baptist Faith, most recently attending First Baptist Church of Vancleave.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, William O. Simms, Sr. and Nena ""Cricket"" Brewer Simms.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 48 years Cynthia Hill Simms of Ocean Springs; his children, Kelly Simms Githens (George) of Jacksonville, FL, Jason Simms (Melissa) of Vancleave and Corey Simms (Juleen) of Ocean Springs; his grandchildren, Chelsey Githens, Bryce Githens, Ashlyn Githens, Tyler Simms and Taylor Simms.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 4:00 pm, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., at the corner of Washington Ave., where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
