William P. Poluk

William P. Poluk, age 83, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Mr. Poluk was born December 1, 1929, and was a native of Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from North High School, and then served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force with his final rank being Staff Sergeant. Then he went on to receive his degree from the University of Minnesota. William's career began with 3M as an Industrial Engineering supervisor and on to work with Cargil, Nutrena, Seacoast and retiring in the South with Zapata Haynie Corporation as a General/Regional Plant Manager. In retirement he enjoyed selling real estate. William loved to travel with his wife. He enjoyed airplane modeling and spending time with his family & friends. He was a member of Bay Seventh Day Adventist Church and his passion for the Lord encompassed his life.
William was preceded by his parents, Mike and Anna Poliuk; siblings, Millie Fusfeld, Olga Poluk, Mary Poluk, and Virginia Poluk.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda C.K. Poluk; children, Jon Poluk, Melissa (Mickey) Fontenot; step-sons, Cory (Kelly) Thomas, and Brandon (Brooks) Thomas; grandchildren, Coby Poluk, William Kyler Poluk, Logan Poluk, Grant Fontenot, Emily Fontenot; step-grandchildren, Breana Shields, Abby Shields, Caroline Thomas, Carter Thomas, Zoe Thomas, Bryce Thomas and Landon Thomas.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Word of Faith Fellowship Church, 103 Old Spanish Trail, Waveland, MS at 5:00pm.
