Major William Malone Martin, USAF, Ret., age 75, of Gulfport, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Joseph Martin and Katherine Malone Martin; and a brother Richard Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Florencia Martin; sons Michael Martin, Thomas (Laurie) Martin, and Patrick (Brandy) Martin; daughters Michelle Martin and Kathy Martin; grandchildren Levi Martin, Wyatt Martin, David Mobley, Dereck Mobley, Kristen Martin, Curtis Martin, Lauren Martin, and Tommy Martin; and great granddaughter Lola Martin.
He received a Bachelor's Degree from Notre Dame University.
Major Martin served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, receiving many commendations for valor and retired after 26 years of service.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery.
