William Lamar Dennis

William Lamar Dennis, passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 74 in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was born on August 27, 1948, in Bessemer, Alabama to Helen Stark Dennis and Lamar Dennis.

William was a loving father and friend of five children: Greg Dennis of Bessemer, AL, Tenille Dennis Smith of Pensacola, FL, Jon Dennis (Brittany) of Birmingham, AL, Brandon Dennis (Mary) of Red Bank, NJ, and Gabe Dennis (Laken) of Prairieville, LA. He was also blessed with six grandchildren: Mari Catherine Griffin, Carter Smith, Jon Ross Dennis, Cooper Dennis, Emily Dennis and Oliver Dennis; as well as two great-grandchildren Emma Carter Griffin and Lawson Griffin. William's children remember him as a devoted father who always supported their pursuit of happiness.

William spent 20 years in mining equipment repair and then transitioned to 20 years in appliance sales. In his free time William cheered on his favorite college football team, Alabama Crimson Tide football ... "Roll Tide!" 

William was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Stark Dennis and father, Lamar Dennis, along with his sister, Gina Dennis Gray. He cherished every moment spent with them and their family history will no doubt continue to pass down his legacy of unwavering love and positive values for generations to come.

Friends and relatives will gather for a memorial visitation at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport on Monday, June 19th from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.

While deeply missed by all who knew him , we take comfort in knowing William has left behind a beautiful legacy that touched so many lives over the span of his life.
