On June 5, 2025, the Ms. Gulf Coast lost one of its lifelong natives of Biloxi. William Braxton “Bill” Dellenger passed away in Ocean Springs, MS at 83 years of age.
Bill grew up somewhere between Howard Ave and Division St. close to Porter Ave. in downtown Biloxi. He was a graduate of Biloxi High School; he joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country for eight years. After returning home, he later began his own pool service business, was a longtime active member of The Slavonian Lodge, where he loved spending time with family and dear friends. He ended up moving his family to the Gulf Hills Community in Ocean Springs, where he lived until his final farewell. He was a devout catholic, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dellenger; his brother, Earl Dellenger, Jr; his stepson, Jason Jakimczuk; and his stepdaughter, Jennifer Jakimczuk.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Kathleen Dellenger; his daughters, Holly Dellenger and Brooke Dellenger; his grandchildren, Sophia (Richard) Zapata, Jason Jakimczuk, Jr., Hanna Peresich, Hayden Dellenger, Laiken Camp, and Braxton Dellenger; his great-grandchildren, Emerson Zapata, and Eleanor Zapata; his sister and brother-in-law, Cindy Temple and Greg Barich; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives, colleagues and dear friends.
Kathleen would like to especially thank her stepdaughter Holly Dellenger and her dear sister Cindy Temple for all the love, care and support they have shown her during Bill’s illness since early January. She couldn’t have made it through this without you both.
Adhering to Bill’s wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in William Braxton Dellengers name would be preferred. Donate by visiting www.stjude.org
