William Cannon

William Carl Cannon, Jr., age 72 of Gulfport, MS, passed away on November 10, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Lucille Ploue Cannon, Sr.; and his brother, Donald Cannon.
Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife, Leola Cannon of Gulfport, MS; his children, Gregory Cannon of St. Louis, MO, and Melissa (Rodney) Sabathe of Luling, LA; his step children, Rebecca (Gerald) Shippe of Dekalb, TX, Sherry (Mark) Poirier of Harvey, LA, and David (Leslie) Parish; his siblings, Robert Cannon of Roanoke, VA, Shirley Kibbe-Dureau of Metairie, LA, and Brenda Matherne of Bush, LA; four grandchildren, Eric Cannon, Ronald Gilmore, Taylor Dow, Zachary Sabathe, and eight step grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren.
He served in the United States Navy where he was part of the Heavy Photographic Squadron. He is a former executive with the New Orleans Lakefront Airport and was also the owner of Grow-Right Enterprises that supplied violets to local grocery stores.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1:30pm at the Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
