Mr. William J. ""Bill"" Barsema, age 59, of Gulfport passed away August 23, 2012 in Gulfport.
He was born in Clinton, Iowa on July 10, 1953. Mr. Barsema attended Clinton High School.
He was a preceded in death by his mother, Marian Barsema.
He is survived by his father, Herman Barsema; wife of 8 years, Gail Barsema; son, Brian Barsema; step children, Matthew Guffey and Tracie Cumberland; grandchildren, Kyle, Ashley, Bridget, Bradley, Kyler, Cole, and Emma; and sisters, Betty Moore and Penny Bidrawn.
He was a member of the Antique Auto and Engine Club of MS where he served as president for many years. He was actively involved in Crusin' the Coast by working the Hardy Court Cruise-In and managing the volunteers who worked the registration area. He was also a member of the Model T Club and the Metropolitan Club of America.
Any car people please drive your antique and/or custom cars or motorcycles as a tribute to Bill.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, August 27, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home. A second service will be held at a later date in Clinton, Iowa.
