Will Brady, age 18, of Long Beach, Mississippi, was born October 6, 2006, and passed away on September 2, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Brady; maternal grandparents, Robert VanOsdol and Beth (Donnie) Burr; great-grandparents, William and Martha “Nenaw” Brady, Robert and Maxine VanOsdol, Jean and Mary Lou Patterson, and James and Betty Cadwallader; and his beloved cousin, Lilly Hill.
Will is survived by his parents, Alex and Amy Brady; sisters, Ashlyn and Alivia Brady; grandmother, Martha “Mimi” Brady; aunt and uncle, Regina Alexander and Ryan (Dana) Brady; and many cousins who loved him dearly.
Affectionately known by many nicknames—Willy, Wilbur, Little Willie, Will the Pill, William, Willie Ice, Wilson, Will the Thrill, and Johnny Vaughn—Will was full of life and adventure. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed dove hunting with his Boykin Spaniel, Willow, while at the family camp in Shubuta. He hit the links golfing with his friends and looked forward to spending time with family boating to Cat and Ship islands. From a young age, he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football, building lifelong friendships through teamwork, competition, and sportsmanship. His family were his biggest protectors and cheerleaders, proudly watching him grow into a determined and resilient young man.
Will’s grit and passion shone brightest on the field, where he overcame injuries and always rose to the challenge for his team. His achievements include leading his team as quarterback to victory at the 2024 Oyster Bowl, being named United States Marine Corps LBHS Athlete of 2025, South MS High School Baseball All-Star (2023–2025), LBHS Football First Team All-District Quarterback, LBHS Football MVP Punter (2023), 6A Region 4 MHSAA All Region Baseball Team, and LBHS Career and Technical Program Welder of the Year (2025). He also earned his National Center for Construction Education and Research Certificate.
Will’s joyful spirit, determination, and kindness will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coaches, teammates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 9 - 11 am at the First Baptist Church, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the church.
The family would like to encourage those in attendance to wear maroon, black, or white.
