Wester Anthony "Wes" Alford

Wester ""Wes"" Alford Sr., age 92, passed away November 17, 2015 in Gulfport, MS.
Wes was from Gretna, LA, but a resident of Diamondhead, MS. He is the son of Henry and Abbie Alford.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Wes Jr., Jeffrey, and Brian Alford.
Wes was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian, MS, a 1940 graduate of St. Aloysius High school in New Orleans, attended Soule Business College in New Orleans, and the University of Tennessee in Memphis. His achievements include, past President of ""SKALL INTERNATIONAL"" New Orleans, also past North American Vice President of ""SKALL's"" worldwide Organization if Travel and Tourism, joined Pan American World Airlines working in accounting, was promoted to Memphis as Mid-South Sales Manager for Pan American, promoted to New Orleans as Marketing Manager, promoted to Miami as Advertising Manager, then promoted to Sales Manager for Florida, Bahama's, Cayman Islands. With the merger of Pan Am and National Airlines, he returned to New Orleans as Regional Director for Pan Am's five state gulf region. After retirement he worked with Travel Consultants of New Orleans.
His survivors include his beloved wife of 68 years, Rita Claire Wininger Alford; son, Micheal Alford (Ruth); grandchildren, Lauren, Dax Sr., and Dario Alford; and great-grandson, Dax Alford Jr. Boesch.
Wes wishes to thank the Biloxi VA and Keesler Air Force Base for the care and kindness that was received.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian, MS with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. A committal service will be held at 1:30 PM on November 25, 2015 at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers masses and prayers.
