Wesley Lloyd “Sonny” Watts, age 77, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Wesley was a lifelong resident of Gulfport. He received his education through the Long Beach School System and Perkinston Junior College. He dedicated more than 40 years of his life to All-Phase Electric Supply Co., where he built a long and respected career.

Wesley was a proud member of the Long Beach Masonic Lodge #327. He enjoyed spending his free time doing the things he loved, including playing pool, golfing, hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He will be remembered for his love of family, his friendships, and the many years he shared with those who knew and loved him.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley N. Watts and Nona Lee Watts; his brother, Bruce Watts; and his son, Joseph Watts.

He is survived to cherish his memory by his beloved wife of 38 years, Linda K. Watts; his children, Wesley Watts, Gwen (Mike) Bateman, and Mike Collins; his siblings, Darlene Temple and Patti Watts; his grandchildren, Courtney (William) Wright, Cameron Close, Tyler Slocum, Michael Bateman III, Madolyn (Nick) Byrne, Hunter (Chelsey) Collins, and Dylan (Jacie) Collins; his nine great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Allison Wall and Brittany Hicks, NP. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to family, friends, and our Harvest Church family for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 1 - 3 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Rd, Long Beach. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Harvest Church Building Fund.

Wesley Lloyd “Sonny” Watts will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
