Wendy Rae Figer

September 30, 1972 — November 17, 2025

Biloxi

Wendy Platts Figer passed away on November 17th, 2025. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Rich Figer, and their four children Gabrielle, Luke, Gia and Stella. She also leaves behind her sister, Heather Fain, her mother, Mary Myers; her father, Edwin "Gibby" Myers; and stepbrothers, Chris Tuggle and Jeremy Myers.

She is preceded in death by two children, Corey and Matthew; her beloved grandmother, Christine ‘Gigi’ Platts; and her grandfather, Howard F. ‘Shorty’ Platts.

Wendy was born and raised in Long Beach. She studied at Delta State University before entering the hospitality industry to start her career but quickly discovered how much she enjoyed making people feel great about how they look. This led her to create Gabrielle’s boutique, and for 24 years, she curated and delighted customers with her discoveries from the fashion world.

Wendy’s way of being was to create experiences with Rich that delighted her family and friends. She was deeply involved in the Krewe of Athena as well as constantly curating new experiences for her, Rich and her family through travel and celebrations.

Through Gabrielle’s, she created Gabrielle’s Trendsetters, a community outreach program that engaged young women at the start of their career and life journey. Lifting others up was core to her mission in life.

Wendy held her faith dear to her and relied on her love of God. She also loved animals, especially her dogs, Cruz and Regis. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Tired Dog Rescue in memory of Wendy Figer, P.O. Box 10751, Gulfport, MS 39505 or VENMO @tireddogrescue, or the Humane Society of South Mississippi in Wendy's name at https://www.hssm.org/donate .
