Welton Harold "Piute" Cuevas

Welton Harold ""Piute"" Cuevas, age 77, of Pass Christian, MS, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at his home in Pass Christian, with his wife by his side along with family and friends. He was a father and grandfather of Christian faith who went to meet our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Sedonia Cuevas; brothers, Renaldo Cuevas, Lacy (Lois) Cuevas, Wilton (Azell) Cuevas, Milton (Pansy) Cuevas; sister, Lillie Mae (Andrew) Moran, brother-in-law, Jimmy Dale Cuevas, son-in-law, Tommy Brown, and sister-in-law, Karen Koenenn.
Welton is survived by Jacqueline, his loving wife of 55 years; their three children, Myra Brown, Kelton (Maddie) Cuevas, and Donnette (Kendall) Necaise; their grandchildren, Whitney (Brent) McCardle, Thomas Brown, Tyler Brown, Elyse Brown, Kendon Necaise, Levi Cuevas, and Patrick Cuevas; their great grandchildren, Mason and Paisley McCardle; his sisters, Jeanette (Harris) Ladner, and Minie Lou Cuevas; his brothers-in-law, Donald Koenenn and Thomas (Linda) Koenenn; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian, MS formerly known as St. Williams Catholic Church. Welton cut hair for over fifty years, in both Gulfport and Waveland. Some of his hobbies were horse racing, football and playing cards. A good day for Welton was talking to his lifelong friends and loving his wonderful wife.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2016, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln-Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS, from 6:00pm until 10:00pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 11:00am, where family and friends may visit from 9am until the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
