Wayne Dalton Luxich passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Luxich and Viola Garcia Luxich; his siblings, Alton "Colly Buck" Luxich, Doris Luxich Jackson, Melvin Luxich, and Sharon Luxich Huffman; and his daughter, Mary Viola Luxich.

His wife of 57 years, Diane Luxich, survives him, along with his children, Wayne "Tody" Luxich, II (Linda), Megan Luxich Homme (Eric), and Daniel Luxich (Jerica); his siblings, Norvin "Poochie" Luxich (Christine), Myrna Luxich Ladner, Glenn Luxich (Tammy); and his grandchildren, Harper Homme, Briley Luxich, Sawyer Homme, and Bailey Luxich. He is also survived by other relatives, Mark Garcia, Ralph Garcia, Russell LaFontaine, Benny Green, and Joey Everett.

A true master craftsman, he spent his life working as a house builder and cabinet maker, remodeling everything from hospitals and old hotels to boat cabins, bringing unmatched skill to every project. Beyond his hard work, he was a gifted musician who played the guitar and mandolin, singing a beautiful tenor. He was an avid outdoorsman whose favorite days were spent duck and squirrel hunting, and for many years, he loved the thrill of digging for arrowheads. He also took great joy in collecting marbles and keeping spare change, which he would carefully save and distribute to those he loved. Above all, his greatest joy was his family, and he cherished every moment spent with his kids and grandkids.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, beginning at 12:30 PM at Lakeshore Community Center, 6440 Lower Bay Rd., Bay St. Louis, MS 39520, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Entombment will be at Lakeshore Cemetery, 6236 Lakeshore Rd., Bay St. Louis, MS 39520. Wayne Dalton Luxich II, Daniel Luxich, Mark Garcia, Ralph Garcia, Joey Everett, and Eric Homme will serve as pallbearers. Sawyer Homme will serve as honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
