Wanda Joyce Sutherlin

Wanda Joyce Sutherlin, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12th with her family at her side.
Mrs. Sutherlin was born and raised in Henryetta, OK and resided in Pass Christian, MS for most of her adult life. In 2005, Katrina destroyed her home. Fortunately, she was built a new home on Henderson Avenue by a group of volunteer workers from the Lutheran Episcopal Disaster Relief. She was forever grateful to them.
Wanda dedicated many years to the health profession where she was a Registered Nurse as well as, Administrator for Driftwood and Dixie White House Nursing Home. She retired after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Sutherlin was a devout catholic and attended St. Paul's Church in Pass Christian. For many years she was the organist at the church. She also loved to paint, sew, crochet, knit and make ceramics.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin (Spike), her father, Thurman Morrison, her mother, Glennis Morrison, her brothers, Thurman Jr. and ""Buddy"" Morrison, her sister Florence Leeper, and her son Timothy Sutherlin. She is survived by her children, Charlotte Zimmerman, Marlin ""Buddy"" (Debbie), Patrick, and Mike (Gina); her grandchildren, Patrick Jr. (Nancy), Melissa (Adam) Prince, Stacey (Robert) Bickerton, Amie Zimmerman, Timothy Jr. Sutherlin, and five great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Live Oaks Cemetery.
The family would also like to thank Dunbar Nursing Home in Bay St. Louis for all of their dedication and support.
