Wanda ""Nanny""June Shehorn, age 77, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her home in Pass Christian, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Shehorn; her father, Charles DeWater; her mother, Nora Stancer DeWater; a step-daughter, Mary Ellen Morrison; and a grandson, Steven Silver.
""Nanny"" is survived by her six children, Doris (Buddy) Ladner of Gulfport, MS, Clyde (Donna) Shehorn, Bobby (Theresa) Shehorn, Charles Shehorn, and Gary (Jeannie) Shehorn, all from Pass Christian, MS, and Jen McKay from South Carolina; thirty two grandchildren; and twenty three great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, but most of all she was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord who was a peacemaker and prayer warrior to all. She traveled for over 40 years with her husband, the Rev. Floyd Shehorn, ministering, evangelizing and bringing souls to the Lord. She was devoted to the calling of the Lord, building churches and moving onto the next one. She's been called home to the Glory Land, to the Holy Land in the sky singing those heavenly songs.
She will be sadly missed by all and the family wishes to thank Dr. Allison Wall and Kare In Home Health Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at First Assembly Church of God, Gulfport from 9:30 until 11:00am, where a service will be held at 11:00 am in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
