Wanda Genell Foster

April 21, 1948 — January 29, 2024

Biloxi

Wanda Genell Foster, age 75 of Biloxi, MS., went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Genell was a very devoted Catholic and was a member of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church in Biloxi.  She was dedicated to serving with the Altar Society, the bereavement committee, cleaning the sanctuary and was always happy to help with the Lenten dinners, and any other functions that needed a helping hand. She was a devout Catholic, who loved her faith in God.  She was always praying the Rosary for those in need.

Genell was dedicated to her family. She loved getting together with them, was always there for them if they ever needed help in anyway. She was passionate about working in her yard and kept it immaculate.  She was always planting something new.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Laura Foster, Sr.; her brothers, Woodrow “Jr” Foster, James Foster, and Robert Foster; her sisters, Laura Ann Hines, and Rose Mary Cates; her brother-in-law, Don Parks, sisters in law, Brenda Foster, and Jada Foster; and her nephew Kevin Lively.

Genell is survived by her brothers, Ben (Kathy) Foster, Michael Foster, Toby Foster, John Foster; and her sisters, Peggy (Larry) Page, Velma Parks, and Brenda Roberts; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephew’s other relatives and dear friends.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Light, especially her nurse Olivia Boob; along with Dixie Trosclair and the members of the Altar Society who continually brought over food, supplies and gift cards throughout this very difficult time.   There are no words that can express how deeply grateful and appreciative our family is.  Again, Thank You.
