Walker Daniel
Muesall-Johnson
March 9, 2006 – April 9, 2026
Walker Daniel Muesall-Johnson, born on March 9, 2006, and dearly departed on April 9, 2026, in Long Beach, Mississippi, left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend, Walker is remembered with deep affection and respect by his family.
A 2024 graduate of Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Arkansas, Walker was a young man of many interests and passions. He found joy in fishing and cooking, with grilling outdoors being his most cherished hobby. Walker often delighted in his favorite foods—crawfish and macaroni and cheese—and could frequently be seen enjoying a cup of sweet tea, a simple pleasure he never missed. Always forward-thinking, he aspired to someday hold a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), embracing the possibilities of the future with enthusiasm.
Walker's family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who reached out with calls, texts, and prayers during this difficult time. True to his spirit, Walker would say, “It is what it is,” a testament to his resilient and candid nature. A private ceremony to honor his memory will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his mother, Joylynn (Betty) Barnett of Homer, Louisiana; his father, Russell (Kristin) Johnson of Wiggins, Mississippi; and his aunt and uncle, Edward “Eddie” and Casey Muesall of Long Beach, Mississippi, with whom he resided. Walker’s siblings include Skylar and Tyler Woodruff, Allee, Ross, and John Johnson, and Kale Thomas. He also leaves behind stepsisters Chelsie Ponder and Jessica Phillips. His extended family embraced him warmly, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, nieces, and nephews: Kortnee, Baylee, Haylee, Jaxson, Hannah, Marabella “Bella,” Wynter, Paisley, and Raelynn. Among his cousins are Morgan and Landon, along with many others whose lives were touched by Walker’s kindness.
Walker's godparents, Edward D. Muesall Jr. of Long Beach and Jennifer McGowen of Picayune, Mississippi, provided cherished guidance and support throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Edward D. Muesall Sr. and Debra A. Muesall of Long Beach, and his great-grandparents, Sonny and Laura Shavers, also of Long Beach. Their memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Walker Daniel Muesall-Johnson’s life, though brief, was filled with warmth, laughter, and the quiet strength of someone who lived fully on his own terms. His memory will continue to inspire his family and friends, who carry forward his spirit, love for life, and enduring sense of what truly matters.
